Ming Chuan University, a diversified and comprehensive university, established the Department of Biomedical Engineering in the 2006-7 academic year. In the same year, the Department of Healthcare Information and Management along with the Department of Biotechnology and the Department of Biomedical Engineering were integrated to establish the School of Health Technology, combining healthcare information, healthcare management, biomedical, biotechnology, biological information, bio-electronics, medical image processing and medical network science and other professional fields .<\/h1><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

\u25ba <\/h1><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

The Department of Biomedical Engineering was set up by Professor Lee, Chia-Ling (2006-7), led by Professor Chen, Mei-Jung (2007-16), Associate Professor Chen, Pei-Ru (2016-2021), and Professor Yang, Chia-Yen (February 2021 to present). Passed the Institute of Engineering Education (IEET, China Engineering Education Society) accreditation from 2008 to 2017 and is duly recognized by the Higher Education Evaluation & Accreditation Council of Taiwan from 2018, satisfied all standards for recognition. The department's educational purpose is the training of professionals with knowledge and skills regarding equipment, instruments, and consumables in the biomedical field. <\/h1><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

\u25ba <\/h1><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

There are eight full-time faculty and eight adjunct, with more than 200 students enrolled. Currently, the department is actively expanding overseas and cross-strait industry cooperation to cope with market demand.
